COTF Research on Education Grant $3,000
The COTF Research on Education grant will be awarded to an occupational therapy academic or clinician researcher or research team or an occupational therapy graduate student whose focus is research on education. Education is broadly conceived and includes professional education, continuing education, professional development, fieldwork education, practice-based learning, or other domains of education relevant to occupational therapy. Research topics must be clearly linked to the advancement of education related knowledge in occupational therapy. Examples of topics (non-exhaustive) situated in the field of occupational therapy might include:
- Education about systemic injustice, equity, ethics, decolonizing and indigenizing education
- Accessibility and Accommodations in education and practice
- On-line teaching, technology, and learning
- Telehealth and virtual therapy
- Fieldwork education
- Innovations in pedagogy, assessment, and curricular design
- Service-user involvement, patient education
- Collaborative education: communities of practice, peer mentorship, interprofessional education
- Arts and humanities in professional education and practice
- Competency-based education
- Evidence-informed approaches to education
